MY DESTINATION

Well I've been down a lot of roads,
You know, the lonely kind.
With emptiness my greatest load,
I've chased those yellow lines,

And I have followed mountain trails
Through woods and over streams,
And I have ridden steel rails,
Persued elusive dreams.....

But you're my destination Karen,
No matter where I've been,
You're the place my heart's preparing
You're my journey's end.

Your truth has been my strong foundation
Your love my masonry
Your trust, the door that keeps me safe
And also sets me free.

No matter where my path might lead
Or how far I may roam
As long as you are by my side,
Then I will be at home.
