RIDE ME LIKE THE WIND

If I were a mustang, on a mesa wild and free,
I think I'd still be drawn to you, and you'd be drawn to me
I'd never take a bit nor saddle ropes they could not take me
But a gentle word from you would be the only thing to break me

chorus:
If only you could ride me like the wind
Your legs wrapped tight around my straining sides
then you would feel my velvet 'gainst your skin
And I'd take you across the great divide
If only you could ride me like the wind
You would learn the rhythm of my ride

If I were a thoroughbred, trained to trial and track
I'd never loose a single race with you upon my back...
You'd give me my head, we would take the inside lane,
And I'd respond to just a little pressure on the reigns.

                                   (chorus)

If I were a painted pony on a carousel
We'd dance around forever to the organ and the bell
You'll stick with me when we go down, a true and faithful friend...
But hang on tight, it comes around, and we will rise again!

                                   (chorus)
